I really adore Eartha Kitt. At an early age I was struck by her distinctive, purring voice with an exotic flair could make anything sound sexy or luxurious--two things that seemed one and the same to her. She was so enegertic and captivating, even Orson Welles once called her "the most exciting woman in the world."
