AND THIS NEATO TUTORIAL

Awww yea custom nerd shirts for SDCC! Since I really dislike most of the women's shirts in the Bioware store (I don't like crew necks and their materials suck) I decided to make my own nerd couture.

You did a good job on these! They look screenprinted! I might have to try out the tutorial myself.

Thanks! Go for it! It's super fun and pretty easy. There's bound to be some leakage so having a cover-up paint helps a LOT when you're going for crisp edges. I'd also recommend using a sponge rather than a brush because you don't want to pull the fabric too much when applying the paint.

I actually do want to get into screen-printing, maybe one day...

Thanks! There are some mistakes lol, it helps to have a corrective paint too.

On a sorta related note, I've been trying to find blank black totes for cheap so I can finally paint the one I owe you (and my other friend), but all the places I've found online have like a $12 minimum shipping fee (for like $8 worth of totes lol, totally ridic). Would you be interested in a shirt instead? If not that's cool, I really do want to paint some totes in the style of my shoes eventually but it'll take me longer to find the blanks, I just don't want to pay more for shipping than the actual cost of the product XD

Okey, I'll wait till I can find some cheap good-quality blank totes, hopefully soon. I didn't think they'd be this hard to find! And ugh yea, it would cost like, $5 to ship with usps >=( I maaay bite the bullet and buy like 5 totes at once just to make it worth it, but IDK what I'd do with that many totes XD

I know I just commented on the Comm, but really... hot damn but these look awesome. I've been talking to my mom who used to do silk screening on shirts, but this might be easier? IDK... Totally want to give it a try though!! :D And as awesome as the Vakarian shirt is, I really dig that Omega one!

Haha thanks! I actually do want to try silk screening again (tried it once in high school art class lol), but I think if you're just making one shirt then this method is just waaay more convenient and forgiving. I feel like since the freezer paper actually sticks to the cloth it's harder to mess up (barring the occasional leak).

Lol yea everyone seems to like the Vakarian one better but honestly in terms of design/look I like the Omega one! My non-ME playing friend haaaaaaated it because she said it looked like an upside down power button XD
