[Book Review] 1984 Part 1

I'm taking AP English Literature 12 this year and in prep. for the exam we're going to be reading lots of famous works of literature and while reading 1984 I started thinking - why not review some of the books that we read? I'm not going to do formal reviews and critiques of the novels, and as in the current case I might even review the book before ( Read more... )

Don't give up just yet. Personally I found it was brilliant. (It's on my to-review list, so I'll tell more when time comes. XD)

I know a lot of people who think it's brilliant, I find I'm actually a (very, very small) minority who actually doesn't like it. I mean - I agree that it's creative but from just a writing perspective, I really do not like how the book was written.

but I'll be looking forward to reading your review when you do write it ^^ and who knows, maybe by the time I finish the whole book my view will change.
