I'm updating because I haven't in a while.

I just don't like to post if I don't have news (preferably the good kind) to post about. And if I don't need to vent either, then what's the point ( Read more... )

Church is not a prerequisite for a spiritual life, although going to church provides resources for guidance if you feel that you need it, and it offers a community of people who supposedly have spiritual beliefs similar to your own.

Las Po has art classes, and there are adult education courses in the area as well. My mother has taken many art classes that way, as well as writing classes from Mrs. Daniels.

Passing out like that can be terrifying, even if it is caused by nothing serious. My dad passed out a few months back while we were sitting in a Marie Calendars restaurant multiple times, although the doctors could never find anything bigger wrong with him.

Yeah, tell that to the priests. ;) lol. That's kinda what I meant though, by the working on my spiritual life but still not liking going to church. Like I'm needing to separate my spiritual life from all the religious rules/hoops I need to jump through, if that makes sense.

I'll see about taking an art class (through Las Po or LARPD) next semester. I have creativity coming out my pores right now, but unfortunately I just don't have the money to sign up, buy all the supplies, books, materials etc. Ain't that just a kick in the pants? I hate how that happens. I finally have all this time available for it (that I'm not using for other classes or work) but I don't have the money for it. Figures.

passing out is no good :( i hope it was just a one-time random thing. keep fed and keep hydrated!

i am glad to be spending more time with you lately. you are good for my creativity - especially the part where i actually write down or draw out ideas! so thanks for that!

i want to take more art classes too - i'm hoping i can find a job in portland that allows me the time to do that... plus community colleges are cheap (relatively) so maybe you could set up a separate savings account for art classes that you put 10$ from every paycheck into or something?

well, let's hang out soon! <3

We will most definitely hang out again soon! :) And no, passing out is no good. It's such a bizarre experience. I'll bet I'm gonna turn out to be one of those women that passes out at her wedding. XD

And you're good for my creativity too! :D

Your good thoughts helped for my friend, so hopefully mine will help for yours! I wish her an operation free of incident and a speedy recovery. My brain-surgery friend is home already, showing off photos of her bandaged head on Facebook!

Yeah, no more passing out!

Stick to your guns about what you know is right. You don't belong with the religious nuts--unless it's to try to undermine them, but they'd probably catch you out before you could properly get going on that! I hope you can find a place that fits with your beliefs and where you can truly help people. *hugs*

(I'm not sure about loving the Canadian "accent," but I wouldn't mind giving a Canadian a chance to make a Puerto Rican girl happy ^_^).Tehe, don't knock it too much! Heh, actually, after listening to nothing but Canadians on TV for the past couple of weeks with the Olympics, I became so aware of their Canadian accents that they were starting to annoy me. But just remember that my accent isn't quite the norm if that's what you're basing that on! You know there's ( ... )

I don't feel like you really HAVE an accent, though I do love to giggle at your occasional "eh"s. :D

And I'm sure that my friend appreciates your good thoughts also. I'm glad your friend is already home and feeling better!
