It's a hard-knock life for gerbs.

Halfway through capping both parts of the Merlin finale, y'all! So, maybe it'll be up in time for when Merlin regularly would be on Saturday and we can re-squee, yes? I WILL SEE YOU THEN. You may not be popular with the gerbils... but the story is so cute! It's sweet how Charlie is so worried.

Gosh, they do have sharp little teeth, don't they? I once made the mistake of eating a peanut butter sandwich and directly afterward saying hello to my gerbil. Ouch! Apparently I smelled really good.

Charlie is such a worrywart over his brother. He won't let him sleep any way but tucked under him, and every time I take Gus out without him, Charlie spends the entire time standing and watching us until Gus is back, at which point he will forcibly pin him down and ignore Gus' unhappy squealing to clean him like he's a mama cat. WHO KNOWS WHAT GUS MAY HAVE GOTTEN UP TO. SHENANIGANS!

Yeah, they really do! The thing is, the whole tasting your fingers starts so cute, they're all nuzzling and licking and it gets your heart all melty and then they're like LE CHOMP and oh look, there's a pinprick of blood.

They are quite determined little biters!

No, when they're chewing or burrowing they rub their noses against what they're chewing/burrowing against, and they're so invested they don't realize they're making it raw and open. SILLY GERBS, THERE IS NOT A LOT OF SPACE LEFT FOR THEIR BRAINS.

ems was lobbying for me to name my gerbils Colin and Bradley for a while, I think she may be put out that I refused.
