So I have a Wii (wooooot!). My first ever gaming console -- purchased 75% for the purpose of getting exercise in a method that changes from session to session and is therefore less prone to "omg I have DONE THIS SAME THING SOOOO MANY TIMES NOW" than your standard static DVD ( Read more... )

It's quite a lot of fun - I've used it at least half an hour every day since I opened it, and over an hour on several days. :) Yay for exercise that's honest to goodness FUN!

This is far, far too true. :)

Totally at random - do you know any non-dessert-type recipes for pumpkins or squash?

The last time I went home, I came back with two squash (one of which was the monster squash to rule them all and in the darkness bind them (TM) -- it was, I kid you not, larger than my cat.) We ate several pounds of it in a giant vat of soup -- and there are several MORE pounds of it in my freezer, along with the whole unopened other-squash.

This time, despite my best intentions, I came back with FOUR squash (three pumpkins and an acorn). And since fat and sugar are both on my no-fly list, pumpkin pie/cake/bread are kind of not in the cards.

...I'm just praying that if I come back at Christmas with squash, I only end up bringing home six more (arithmetic progression) rather than sixteen more (exponential)...

Hrm. Acorn squash can be baked. We usually eat them with butter, but I know you can eat them with the fake butter and they're just as good. I don't know anything else to do with pumpkins that isn't a dessert, off the top of my head, but I'll ask around. <3 Hmm....I think the acorn squash can be made into soup too. I think . I've spent the day getting rid of malware that weaseled into my machine last night. But it's gone now. Mwahahaha. I hate Windows. Apparently there's a higher security level hidden in Vista. Something that outranks Admin. *rolls eyes*

Did you have a good turkey day?
