Loved it. Zack is warm and vibrant and has too much heart - more than sense certainly, and more than his body should rightly be able to hold. He's a marvel that way, almost stupid in his convictions ( ... )

Thanks - I'm glad you like it! When part 3 comes out is pretty directly dependent on when I can scrape up some more free time that doesn't get eaten by either work overtime or shoveling my way free after Yet Another Snow and Ice Storm (TM), though. ^_^;;;

Around my workplace, everyone's all up in arms about 'omg furlough time omg unpaid vacation omg' and I'm like 'dude, I'll take a couple weeks of unpaid vacation time if it means I get a couple weeks of vacation time and still have a job at the end of it! What about this plan is not to like?' XD

...I forgot to mention that the reason I find the ranting about omg furlough time so hilarious is because we already do a good amount of unpaid overtime. Given the choice between unpaid overtime and unpaid vacation time, that seems like a no-brainer to me.

Not sure why everyone else sees a problem in not getting paid to not work instead of not getting paid to do work. Heh. XDD

More vacation time, eh? fire_phoenixia February 10 2009, 12:31:12 UTC
Laughs. You're the most laid back person I've seen since the recession started. I think your way of looking at it certainly's the best though. Why worry about unpaid vacation when you're already doing unpaid work? Most companies (except some retail ones) are increasing the unpaid vacation leave and lots of people are complaining about the decrease in pay. Hah! I rather they give me more leave than cut my pay or retrench me... 'Cause cut salaries somehow take a long time to go back to before and I at least still have a job at the end of it ( ... )
