0.o I got the game the day after it was released. 0.o I havne't been playing THAT much.

I am playing with a guide though, so I might be going faster if you're not.

That could do it, yeah. I'm going to play through once, and see how many stars I get. I spoiled the possibility of doing that with IV, because I refused to play the game without Ted. Once I realized I passed the point where I could get him, I loaded an earlier save and got him. Course, once I opened that guide [or rather, once I hit Gamefaqs.com], the dam broke, and I wound up getting all 108 on my first run. No idea how many I would've had alone. So, yeah, you'll prolly finish the game before me at this rate :)

I would play without one, but there's no way I'm missing Killey and Lorelai. <3 (And another character, but I'm not sure if you've got her yet or not so I won't say.)

I think you'll finish first. I can only play three days a week...Presumably you can play more. ^^

*wibbles* But will you tell me about Lorelai and Killey's endings if you get them before me? I'm really curious as to what they say.

Prince: Zartosht, because I wanted something close to the Queen's name. Named after the Zoroastrian prophet.

Army: Phoenix army, because I couldn't think of anything better, and Phoenixes are cool.

Castle: Arshtat castle. Because Zartosht is a mama's boy and a half.

My Prince is Aushahin, after the time of day between midnight and dawn, when one makes prayers to Arshtat. My Army is much more simple: it is the Dawn Army, representing both the Prince's Rune as well as the idea of a new dawn for Falena. The Castle is more boring still, and is named Ceras Castle, after the lake. I tend to go default on castles - Toran, Northwind [well, what -should've- been default there, anyway], Budehuc and, uhm, shit, I honestly forget the name of my flagship from IV. Can't remember if there was a default idea for it, even.

What is the default in S2?

Mine tend to get sappy - Gremio Castle, Nanami Castle, etc. This is, looking back on it, a somewhat disturbing ritual considering I'm dedicating, in memoriam, a castle to people who haven't died yet. (I think my first times through the names were kind of generic - liberty castle, something jowy suggests for the army).

I can't remember the name of the ship from IV either.

Was just curious. Isn't the artbook pretty? I still haven't been able to find images of Dawn and Twilight online. I'd not have this icon if I didn't scan it out of my own artbook, even. And it's a good thing I did it when I did, too, cause a few hours later my paid account expired. I do plan to reacquire paid status at some point, but for now I've got access to the icons I want most.

I just wish the Star Rune was in the artbook. I heart that Rune. I'm dying to know if it's a True Rune, if it's a unique Rune associated with some True Rune, or what it is. Could it be tied to Night, perhaps, or to Moon, or even to Sun itself? I could see any of these things being possible, so I'm just on the edge of my seat waiting to find out. Don't tell me if you find out though, I don't want any spoilers on this one. *bounces* Such a good game. I can't say TEd and I see eye to eye on much anymore, but I will agree with him that Suikoden is back :D

Yeah it is very pretty. And the CS isn't bad either. Though I do wish we got the artbook the Japanese LE has - I want detailed scans of Lorelai's different portraits, dammit! >:(

I LOVE the Star Rune. It's beautiful. <3 So, so very beautiful. And so, so very useful.

This game is fastly becoming my favorite Suikoden game. It doesn't even have the pacing issues that have plagued the rest of the series! (So far.)

...Pity Konami released it against KHII, though. X_X (GOD WHY CAN'T KONAMI RELEASE A GAME WHEN SQUENIX ISN'T RELEASING A MAJOR, LONG-AWAITED ONE?)

Yes! Lorelai's awesome. And the little girl's got more attitude than games down the timeline. I whipped her ass.

Yeah, I love that we have a new game in the series that actually feels connected to the others. I even went nuts over the IV references.

I didn't pay much attention to Lorelai or Georg in the past games but I like them a lot here. Heck, I like nearly all the cast. The writing's insanely good.

There are IV references? I haven't gotten that far yet. (Any Kika references...?)

Lorelai's always been on of my favorites, but Georg is fast becoming one here.

I like all the cast, too. There aren't any SoD's thus far that I'm really grumbling about recruiting. They all have their good points.
