"Get away!” She screamed, “Stay away from me!”
“Riza calm down.” he said reaching for her, she screamed again as he tried to touch her shoulder but she backed away. He was cornering her fast as she kept backing further and further toward the kitchen counter. She was crying hard and it obviously was unnerving him, “Riza don’t worry I wont hurt you.” He said trying to grab her, hug her, in attempt to stop her what seemed to be a tantrum.
She screamed again batting away his hands before hugging her middle, “don’t touch me, d-don’t you dare touch me.” She chanted as she backed into the counter. She glanced back in shock.
“I’m here it’s okay, don’t worry.” He said trying to pull his arms around her again, which in turn she let out a loud shriek. She attempted to move his hand again before he forced her into a hug.
She screamed again, “don’t touch me. Stay away from me.”
He pressed her head to his shoulder as she sobbed, “It’s alright. I’m here now.”
“D-d-don’t touch-” she tried to cry but he forced her face to his shoulder again. And they stayed there for a good twenty minutes.
“I’m not here for your father’s secrets.” He murmured into her ear when he thought she calmed down, “I’m here to make sure you’re alright.”
Her eyes went wide as she tried to look at him but he kept her in place as he went on, “I’ll find the secrets to alchemy myself.”
“Really?” she asked eyes welling up again.
“If you want you can be my last resort,” he said with a small laugh.
“Oh, Mr. Mustang.” She said hugging him fully, tears pouring from her eyes.
...
It was then Riza Hawkeye woke up, her back burning, “Dreams about the past.” She murmured, “Today is not going to be a good day.”
