Happy Chinese New Year!

I went to the Ozone for the F.I.R. concert tonight. The crowd was not too bad, but funny thing was, I totally didn't expect the appearance of Will Liu (劉耕宏)...I'm not a fan of his, but I do know of his song 彩虹天堂 since it's linked to one of Jay Chou's songs, 楓. The dancing sequence at the beginning was a bit funny, but he does have a good voice, and he mentioned that he had been on exchange here at Vancouver for a year, and that he proposed to his wife over at Whistler. Anyway, I only figured out who he is when I heard him sing 彩虹天堂, lol.

F.I.R. came onstage afterwards, but they only sang 5 or 6 songs before going off. It was surprisingly short--I guess I was expecting something more like Van Fan's performance last year for the Taiwan Fest (he sang well over an hour!) Oh well XD Faye is definitely a good singer, though I wasn't able to get a good view of the stage due to all the people standing in front of me. They were tall, and many of them held their arms higher still to take photos/videos continuously. =w=;; I was forced to watch the big screen most of the time...

F.I.R. sang "We are...," "Lydia," and I think "月牙灣"? I forgot the other songs since I wasn't familiar with them...I only know their songs from the first three albums, haha. ^^;

But yea, after a few songs, a group of teenagers squeezed in next to me, and this girl proceeded to scream loudly to cheer for F.I.R. I didn't mind it much, seeing as they were just supporting their idols, but when she screamed right next to my ear, I flinched, and she had the audacity to comment loudly to the girl beside her, "Did you see that? She was like 'Oh shit!'" Well, excuse me. You can scream all you want, but do you have to be so damned rude about it? I wasn't even complaining to you! And later at the end of the concert, the emcee was telling people F.I.R.'s CD was available for sale and signing, but they were like, "I want it...but nah, I'll just go download it."

Yea, what real fans you guys are. I don't oppose downloading for sampling purposes, but you ought to buy the CD in support if you really do like an artist. Where's the respect for intellectual property?

Today is the first of Chinese New Year. I woke up late because I was hanging around the kitchen with my family till 2-ish in the morning. We had guests over for dinner...mom cooked up a storm, and it was all very delicious. ^^ I got two additional red pockets because of my brother's now married status XD Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice day with their family. May the new year bring prosperity and all sorts of good things to all of you. ♥
