I went to the hospital yesterday for the last of several diagnostic tests in preparation for surgery next month. The one I had yesterday was called an esophageal manometry test. Yeah surgery scares me too, I would probably be thinking the same way you are if that were me but I personally think you will be better off with the surgery because I know alot of people that suffer from extreme acid reflux and I tell you it's absolutly no fun for those people. So you are doing a rather smart and brave thing by going for surgery if you ask me. I'm such a coward I would probably go for the pill the rest of my life but I think surgery might be more worth it and you are probably less likely to develop anything down the road this way.

The best part is waking up and being completely fucked up on anesthetics. Good times.

Shit. I had no idea. Well...at least you'll get some painkillers and what not afterward. You won't feel a thing.
