Oops, as in, sorry I haven't updated this thing in half a damn year. I moved to a new apartment at the end of October, and I still do not have an internet connection there. The reason for this, is the truly epic incompetence of the Yahoo BB internet service. They are who I have to use to get hooked up at my new place, and they are staggeringly ( Read more... )

Awww so cute, congrats on the girlfriend!

Atleast I know now why you haven't been answering e-mails. If it's ever possible I hope to talk to you through something even if it's just snail mail. I want to go visit japan but I have no idea at this point how to plan a trip like that. I plan on saving some money this year to hopefully be able to visit the following year. If you can point me in the direction of some books or media that would help me plan I'd be greatly appreciated.

I love hearing all your stories(even the mundane stuff) of your exploits in Japan. Believe it or not makes me want to visit it more. :)

Yeah, sorry I never responded to your messages, they always just got lost in the bad timing. You can keep contacting me by email...I'm not hooked up in my apartment yet, but I have slightly better regular access now, so I'll definitely get back to you.

As for your trip, start by telling me (in an email) what you want to see, generally (modern cities, ancient history, natural beauty, culture, small towns, World Heritage sites, etc.). Also, approximately how long you plan to stay in the country. From there I can start making suggestions for you to look into on your own. As for books, Lonely Planet and Rough Guide both put out good guides...but they're very thorough, and may be overwhelming. Just poke around online first, and see what looks interesting!

Chib!

Congrats on everything! You seem destined for all sorts of poetic success.

Also, question: From what location did you "contribute" to Arachno's NON-SMOKING thread? ;-)

I believe that was when I was home in New York over the holidays. I'd love to contribute some more, or look at the thread at all, or download heaps of porn, but that's kind of hard to do in a cafe!
