Okay so today, I was in Agincourt Mall, and they have this like, little independent bookstore there (the owner is like this old dude who's like TOTALLY friendly and really nice and very helpful), and it's like.. one of those "cozy" bookstores that I love exploring, where you see boxes of used books, and the shelves are full of used books, and they' ( Read more... )

P.S. 1984 is definitely a good read. But I don't really know if I could say I love it. It just gives a really different perspective on the world and WW2 and what the world could have been like.

Also, Stephen Leacock's humour is pretty awesome. I read "Lord Oxhead's Secret" which is a parady on Victorian romance. It's not as funny without study though. xD

haha ya that's how I feel about Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451".. though I must say I love that novel, but it did also make me view the world differently.

ahahahaha! It's so true! Seriously though at the time I did have a bit of a curious feeling in the back of my mind when I approached the book.

See cuz I had seen a lot of "classic" books that were published in the "old fashioned" style but weren't REALLY that old (the oldest was probably like 50 years old), so I skipped over a loooot of "old style" hardcover books, so the only thing that drew me to this one was that curious feeling.. hence, my sense of "destiny".

1984 is quite good! It gets a little odd at the end, but still good.
And I love that find, old books are always so much better than brand spanking new ones. I love when they come with old notes in them and everything.

ZOMG! If Ica finds out about this she'll kill ya! She LOVES that dead man! Edgar Allan Poe was a great poet though I must admit it :P But if she ever find out, hell will raise! LOL!
