Also, why is it that fat people get offended if you call them fat but it's totally okay to call someone skinny?
One explanation: "Fat" as a comment almost always has a negative connotation attached to it, so the default assumption is that that connotation is there.

ya I know.. unfortunately. lol but I dunno like... let's say a kid pointed at someone and said "he's fat" and like.. in a totally childlike-innocent way. Mere observation. Yet people would still get offended over that despite the clear knowledge of it being an innocent remark.. it's just.. ya. :P It wasn't a serious question but I think it a lot.. XD

And you SHOULD meet him! haha :) we'll see if the opportunity presents itself sometime during the summer or something. Not sure how often you check facebook but I have lots of pics and stuff on there. :)

'fat' has a bad connotation to it only because of the era that we are living in.

back then, 'thin' was a disgusting concept and fleshy or rounded girls were the "in" thing.

just the cultural/societal norm of our period i guess?

I think that the discrimination against fat people results in some very negative bashing of skinny people
