hello i was wondering if anyone knows locations of abandoned buildings and factories around chicago. i would really like to explore and take photographs

There's this abandoned building that I see most days by me at 1800 N Ashland... I don't know that you could get inside, though. If you find a way, let me know ASAP!

there are a lot of abandoned factories along the orange line el tracks, mostly between the western and kedzie stops.

i'm not sure how accessible they are, but the neighborhoods they're in are a little shady ...

i'm planning on checking them out myself as soon as it gets warmer!

ugh i saw those while i was riding the train since i was staying near the midway stop... it was too cold to check them out and explore.. doh i wish i could come with!!

Webster St. Bridge

Not sure if you're interested in bridge climbing...

Webster and Ashland, near the Green Dolphin. The ladder is on the east side of the tracks, on the south side of Webster. Caution: live tracks.

The bridge itself is a fairly easy climb. Burned-out engine house. Great view.
