I've always loved it. Back when my team sucked (before the front runners) I'd show this vid to people to explain to them how it was "before".

I never understood why they cheer. I know it's a tradition, but it seems disrespectful. Can you 'splain for me plz?

It started in '85 during the conference final against Edmonton (if I remember correctly). The Hawks had dropped a couple games and when they came back home everyone in the stadium was just so ready to go... it just happened. After that it became a thing. They've been doing it ever since, but now that the Hawks are full of cutie pies and good again, people are now paying attention to it.

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Frankly, I been a Hawk fan for long enough that I could care less what non-Hawk fans, new-Hawk fans, or frontrunner Hawk fans think.

Oh I am not knocking the tradition at all. I just wanted to understand the beginnings of it.

Oh, and speaking of the Hawks, I'll send you some pictures today. I just forgot last night. *hugs*

*shurgs* Honestly whatever either way. People can think what they want. I've been through enough people talking shit about my team that them calling Hawk fans disrespectful or putting something on that tradition that isn't there is frankly water off this ducks back.

Don't worry. I felt like shit last night and it's just continued through today.
