Hi, I hope you don't think this is too weird. I saw you in the communities for the University of Tampa and University of Miami, two schools I will be applying to next year. I was wondering if you could tell me what your stats are like? What were your extracurriculars like, etc? Thanks, it would be a great help. :)

Naw it's cool. I have a 4.1 weighted GPA (I think that's a 3.8 uw) at a Catholic college prep school. Um...I've been taking honors classes since freshman year and AP classes since junior year. Got a 3 on my AP Bio exam and I'm taking Calc AB, English Lit, and US Govt this year. My extracurriculars aren't plentiful...I've volunteered at various places (I have community service requirements) but I do volunteer at my local aquarium for my own pleasure. I played volleyball for my school all four years and I'm also really into art as a personal hobby (since it doesn't really count as an EC I wrote about it in my essays)I think that's all really...I got into UM and the Honors College at UT, and I'm going to UM. Feel free to ask me any more questions if I missed anything!

Thanks a lot, that was a big help. We have very similar stats, and I apologize if this is question is too personal or whatnot, but did Miami offer you any money? Money is definetely a factor for me in choosing a college. Thank you again!

Naw it's cool. I got the Merrick Scholarship (1/3 tuition); I have no idea how since my SAT is way below it's minimum but I'm not complaining :) Anyways, I got a total of over $22,000 covered with the scholarship, grants, and loans, but I had a really low EFC (abour $1700)
