So I finished the book earlier today and I've been reading the thoughts and the wank and everything. There isn't much I wanted to say that hasn't already been covered, but ( Here's a few things, anyway, and a question. SPOILERS. )

Oooh, that would definitely be a cool RPG idea. :)

I was confused a bit about the wand business, too.

Maybe when I get a chance to read the wand thing over again, I will understand it better. It went by very quickly and I was like "Wait, what? Oh well, on to the end!"

I'd start the game myself, but dear god... I have NO time to run a game with that kind of commitment. Not alone, that's for sure. Not until November or December, but the time to start it would be now.

The main reason I'd really love to start it, though, is because as the admin, I'd get to be Snape. *coughs*

I'd want to be Ginny or Luna, I think. And I know someone desperate to play Neville... ;)

Hello!

Ash sent me to enable or to confirm I want to play Neville or you know both:)

I suspect Severus might have been able to claim he didn't kill Albus given their arrangement and I think it was definitely because the other wand transferred and even if Dumbledore accepted his death he and Draco still dueled? which made the transfer work? I'm ridiculously accepting of what happens in the books so I gloss over stuff on occassion. plus it kills me that I AM THE TRUE MASTER OF THE ELDER WAND was both cheesy and awesome at once. I loved it.

I certainly tend to gloss over stuff at the time and then just think about it later. I don't nit pick nearly as much as some people do - as in, I think about stuff a lot, but I don't complain when the books don't conform to my expections.

Man, so I have a Neville now. I think I'm screwed. Gimme a few minutes to set something up.

Re: Elder Wand

*blinks* OH. NOW it makes sense. THANK YOU.

Re: Moody and Jinxes

I find it hard to believe that Moody would have known not to set off the jinxes but not bothered to tell anyone else in the Order, but that is one possible explanation. I mean, maybe he intended to tell them, but died, or maybe he felt he needed to keep that secret for some reason, but....ehhhh. I dunno.

Re: Purebloods/Slytherins Are Evil

It's true that the Malfoys became 'grey', but I disagree with you that I've then disproved my theory. They didn't take up arms. They didn't do ANYTHING to redeem themselves or prove that they gave a crap if all of society fell down around their ears. Maybe they stopped being evil, but they still did nothing to dispell the notion that all slytherins, especially the school-age slytherins, are portrayed as either evil or cowards. I think there's room for slytherins to be self-interested, but still fight without that being a contradiction, and not one single slytherin student did that. I just found it annoying.

the wand business, hmm i think i get it but its hard to explain. Severus didnt win the wand because you have to forcibly take it from the person for the wand to think you're its rightful owner, Severus didnt take it from Dumbledore since dumbledore allowed himself to be killed. To gain power of the elder wand, you had to OVERPOWER and since snape never did that to dumbledore, it didnt let snape have the power. As ollivander said, the wand chooses the wizard. and I guess it chose Draco Malfoy (not quite sure how that works out yet, i've read it again and again. apparently draco took the wand at one point and so the power went to him but i recall no such thing) and then harry overpowered draco and took draco's wand. And so draco's wand would of course beat the wand of any other wizard. even if they were holding the elder wand, cause its nothing, the elder wand without the power of the wizard. And only draco had that power.

anyways hope that makes sense, and i really liked your review. and the RPG idea
