Hi
My name is Kris, and I'm a DVD aholic ...
Hi kris
I stand before you here today, not in remorse or pain, but to ask you a favor. You, my fellow DVD-aholics, surelly can tell me ...
...
...
...what DVD's should I, MUST I absolutely have ???

I may have asked this before, but humour me ...

Are you looking for good movies or are you more interested in all the extras on the DVD?

'Cuz I recommend: Pirates of The Caribbean, Van Wilder, War of The Roses, Fargo, The Ref, Oscar, LA Confidential, Real Genius, uh...that's all for now. Those are some of my favorite movies - ones I can watch over and over again...well, accept Fargo.

Just looking for good films... (Why isn't LJ sending out e-mail notifications. Argh!)

And, what's with Fargo and not being able to watch it over and over ???

'Cuz it's a really, really, really dark comedy and sometimes hard to digest. But it's still a great flick!

And brightspot has it right with American Beauty, Office Space and Goonies - those are also some of my favs! But I enjoyed My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Some others: Addams Family, Addams Family Values, American Psycho, Sleepy Hollow, Strictly Ballroom, Sense and Sensibility, The English Patient, The Ref, Empire of The Sun.

God, I watch a lot of movies! And some day, they'll release the original Star Wars movies on DVD!! They haven't yet, right?

Oops! I already said The Ref. Uh...okay...in place of that, let's go with Four Weddings and A Funeral.

If you're just looking for must-have films, allow me to add an American female point of view...which will be oh, so useful to you. ;o)

Ghostbusters. (Come on, it's a classic.)
When Harry Met Sally
Beautiful Girls
CaddyShack
Fletch
Sense and Sensibility
Moulin Rouge
Sabrina (both versions)
The Others
Identity
The Truth About Cats and Dogs
The King and I
The Sweetest Thing
Down With Love
Shawshank Redemption
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Braveheart
Every Kevin Smith movie ever made (Except Chasing Amy)
The Matrix
American History X
The Stand
Rounders
Godspell (The trippy 70's version)

By NO means get ANY of the following films:
Eyes Wide Shut
Babe 2
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
House of a Thousand Corpses
The Hours
