Thank you! I'm glad I was able to fill your need for this sort of filler.

Oh gosh, I love this. You capture Peter's logical thought process and slow, burning anger so well.

I like what you put about the "giddy fog called family" because Peter really has been kind of giddy/happy recently. You could tell he felt at home, like he belonged which now is set in such stark contrast to the "I'm not your son" line.

Love how his thoughts immediately go to them and their deception, the "two points to the triangle" as you put (love that wording).

"Peter lives a lie better than she could ever dream of doing." <-- one of my favorite lines

His coldness, the blonde shadow, the jagged strokes of the pen, the chains, the wreckage --> all of these are images that resonate so powerfully at the end there and explain his dying need to just be GONE.

Also, good catch on her smile dimming and him mustering up a forced smile. I totally didn't catch that the first time around, but I was re-watching that scene and he definitely looks like he knows right when he wakes up and she's a little caught off guard before he plays casual (although you could see her suspect it again when he asked to speak to Walter alone).

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, and it's always fascinating to see the bits that you like.

I've been watching all those happy Peter moments the last few episodes, waiting for it to fall apart, and knowing that they wouldn't have written them so very happy if they weren't about to have him react in the worst possible way, at least for a bit, in contrast. It'll be fascinating, now, to see what happens next.

Wow, I just read muselives' story and now yours. This was soooo good! You two make a good team! Peter's thoughts are so clear here and heartbreaking. After watching the episode, I felt we should have gotten a Peter/Olivia scene before he left, but I guess they are making us suffer a bit longer.

muselives' story is awesome, isn't it?

Thanks! Glad you liked my take on Peter's reaction. And yeah, I have to admit I'm really looking forward to finding out how much this affects Peter and Olivia's dynamic.
