I love the solitude of this...it's so quiet and they're just so alone together and it's just what they need and want and it's really really beautiful.
Love how you allude to all this darker history between them: her torture and near-death Over There, her actual future death that he had to live through, him effectively erasing himself before she found him again. So much death and loss and yet in this moment they reaffirm their existence in the present, their love, the fact that they belong together.
I love being able to write a quiet moment like this, when they can just be content together despite all the angst in the past that never quite goes away.
This is a beautiful and wonderful fic. I love the intimacy between them.
I also the underlying sadness that is there too, all the struggles to be together and reunited again, and in the end just the two of them being aware of their history together.
I love playing with Olivia and Peter's history and the potential the series has for angst, and hopefully giving them a little happiness despite--or maybe even because--of it.
