Okay, as much as I agree with you that it's a fucking ridiculous move (I spent most of my time at work this morning moping about it), I don't think I'm even capable of giving up at this point.

Basically, they've decided to stop developing characters and instead are just writing them off the show (or as they like to call it, making them "recurring characters"). At this point, I just don't trust any of TPTB anymore!
