AH HA HA HA, high-five TO THE FACE I'm totally going to start saying that now. XD

Yeah, it bummed me out. I used to answer honestly about why I don't speak it well, but it always got me those smug "what a shame" looks. I think from now on I'll just tell them that MY PARENTS ARE DEEEAAAAAAD and that I've been adopted by non-Chinese folks. :/
