New Computer Excitement

Last week, I made the switch from desktop PC to MacBook Pro.  Now, I am seriously obsessed with my new computer and making excuses to be on it as often as possible. >_>  It probably has more to do with the computer being brand new, but still.  Getting used to using a laptop as well as learning a new operating system took some time, but I'm feeling

I intended to get the base model but walked out of the Apple store with the Retina model. Definitely more than I need, but OMG so pretty. *_*

No complaints on Mac OSX yet, but then, I'm still getting used to things. Hoping I'm still happy about it then. If for some reason I end up hating it, I can always switch back.

It wasn't until after I bought it that I learned about ALL OF THE THINGS being soldered/glued in. >_< My hope is that, if anything craps out on me, it happens while I still have AppleCare. This will be something I'll ask about the next time, but for now, I'm just going to enjoy the honeymoon period. :D

It's fun until your battery dies. You do feel pretty badass typing away. I'm thinking about switching over to Mac myself.
