My work colleague, David, came back from Las Vegas yesterday. It is a team custom that, if anyone goes away on holiday, they have to bring back some sweets for the rest of the team. Last Monday, my 10-month-old little kitten went missing. We haven't seen him since. Billy and I have scaled the village looking for him. We've been round the neighbourhood asking people if they've seen Bertie or to look in their sheds/garages in case he's trapped. We've put up posters around the village. But nothing. Although my birthday is still a month away, I have just ordered (on behalf of Billy) a 15gig iPod!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've wanted one for ages. The worst thing is that it will probably be here in a day or so and I'll have to hand it over to Billy for safe keeping until my birthday. What a star he is. Back to work today after five weeks off. This is the longest I've ever had off work and, bloody hell, it's horrible. It's nice to see everyone again, but I'm fed up already. I can't use my right hand for my mouse because my arm just stiffens up after a few minutes. I'm supposed to be keeping it moving and doing exercises, which is pretty impossible ( Read more... )

It's now two weeks since my operation. I'm finally getting to grips with some typing. I think the op went well. My elbow still hurts a lot and I still have to keep the original bandaging on, which is disgusting. It's been on for two weeks. Well, just four days to the operation. I'm getting a little nervous now. On the plus side, my work colleagues have provided me with about 30 DVDs to watch when I'm off.
