I know exactly where you're coming from with that. I've had that conversation with Amanda more than once.
And I know where you're coming from with everything about college, too. Like, I'm considering going to a middle-grade school because I don't want to be the dumbest one at a really good one. I don't know, I think that because of where we go (went) to High School, it gives us all a sort of inferiority complex. I wouldn't give up all hope until you're actually AT Fordham though. Honestly. Because you could get there and excel in everything because you want to so badly. You never know.
Nicole, we need to talk. I am at that exact same point in my life. I have realized that I don't excel at theatre more than anyone else. I don't know what to do in college, I'm just glad I have another few months to figure it out.
I'm sorry you feel the way you do, right before you go to NY. All I can say in a short, stupid livejournal comment is that you got into Fordham for a reason. You're friends w/ teachers at our school because you have the intelligence of an adult and everyone loves you because you have the humor of a comdeian. Idk Nicole. I can't sum it up here and I don't wanna get lame.
I miss you and we better hang out on thursy thursy.
Okay, I'm not in a writing mood (and it just deleted my last comment) so I'll make this brief and tackle the key elements to what I want to say. 1) Nicole Scully, you are amazing. `nuff said. I mean sure, in comparison to other kids from other schools and states, you may not be as great as I think you are. but that's the thing. I think you're an outstanding person who excels at ...life! and that's all that matters really..what I think =). Plus, you're not a bitch like most others who excel. thank god.
2) I know where you're coming from with the mediocrity thing. It may be different in your case, but I feel as if whatever my goal is, I will come extremely clsoe to obtaining it, but always falling short. It sucks, but just know you're not alone if that's the case..

I guess your livejournal just isn't your friend today, deleting one comment and not letting you finish the other.
In any case, glad to know I'm not the only one who feels like this. It just sucks that people have to feel this way.
