Hi, This is Annie.I am doing the translating work on the script of 30Rock.And I find it difficult to understand this joke and translate that into Chinese. I googled this sentence and it took me here. Would you please explain this joke to me??

I think it's from the 1st or 2nd season, it's pretty old.

The Indigo Girls are an American folk music group, and they sing songs which usually have philosophical statements and questions, and sometimes the song titles can have a lot of cliches, or just sort of corny sayings.

I believe this conversation is between Jack and Liz, when Liz was expelled from work for something silly... I think it's Jack who tries to give her some wisdom, and it comes out really cheesy. So Liz asks him which Indigo Girls album it's from, and he actually knows. I think the second part is when Jack is just making stuff up, and Liz makes the crack about "how do you know so many Indigo Girls songs", because what he just said sounds like a title of a song.
