Thanks to some kind of promotion that Amazon was running, I got a 6 month subscription to Rolling Stone for $1. I had no idea I was interested in reading Rolling Stone until it appeared in my mailbox every week, and then I remembered how sharp their observations on pop culture are. The guy who conceived of "Spring Awakening" is making Green Day's "American Idiot" into a musical about disillusioned teens living in post 9/11 America.

1. ...and McG is adapting "Spring Awakening" for film, which is weird, right?
