hey annie, i couldn't agree with u more. i hate the govt. points a finger at someone else when we can't find the person who was responsible in teh first place. so we found saddam, doesn't mean everything's solved. i just think that all those lives shouldn't have been lost over something like this.

Last year when I had Mr. Sneeringer's Honors class we got talking about the war... At one point Jamie and I were coordinating getting people to a protest we were going to during school hours. There were a bunch of fascist Republicans in that class, and they weren't too open minded about the whole thing. They told us "it does nothing" and that it was "pointless to even try". I think it's sick that, for the most part, it's true.

and plus going into Iraq wasnt even really about 9-11, it was more about getting Saddam out of power cause he was basically a lighter version of today's Hitler, and America is really the only country who could do that.

saddam was committing a form of genocide like hitler was, however hitler was a threat to the democratic ideals because of his attempt to spread communism into unwilling countries. we went into to ww2 to stop the spread of communism hitler was starting. we didnt find out until after the war just how large hitler's mass genocide was. things such as the holocaust and concentration camps were not an issue when beginning our fighting.
