apparently a public autopsy took place in england today. the first one in 170 years. over 2000 people inquired about tickets to see the "show". the question is why would anyone want to see that? at one point in my life i seriously considered becoming a pathologist, but even then i never thought of attending a public autopsy just for the heck of it ( Read more... )

I don´t know.. i think it´s very interesting. I mean, I don´t know if I would really go there, but it shouldn´t be forbidden to do something like that. Especially if it was the person´s will. I saw the körperwelten exibition last year ( which was also made by this guy ), and it´s just very, very interesting. It´s my body, I want to know everything about it. There might be some people watching it for some sick sort of excitement. They could be as well watching horror movies. Whatever. I just totally encourage the knowledge factor.

i guess that makes sense, but why not just attend one at the med school?
the thing that bugs me about it is that i have a suspicion that most people did not go there for the knowledge :(
