It's a band from Britain. They're quite beautiful. The lead singer's voice is somewhat similar to Thom Yorke but since I don't like Thom Yorke, this band is better.
Yep I've been listening to them a fair bit recently. I don't like Thom Yorke either - the singer from Guillemots reminds me more of Jeff Buckley, and anyone that reminds me of Jeff Buckley is okay in my book.
Don't worry. My brothers who lived, read, breathed, and ate Tupac didn't remember either. I think it's the birthday's people tend to remember when it involves a dead person.
Although, I don't know how 'dead' Tupac is. I'd rather he was at peace than believe that he is still alive. But he is still alive in the hearts and minds of his fans so he's still alive to me.
What is the deal with this guy? All I ever hear is people slagging him off, but I know you really love him. At first I was surprised. Who is he REALLY?
He was an incredible human being. Whoever slags him off knows nothing about him and what kind of life he came from. His music, his songs, the way he raps will put a dent into your heart because it came from his heart. He wasn't singing about women rolling around naked and sipping champaigne, he was actually rapping about real issues.
If you can, watch the documentary Tupac: Ressurection. It's pretty amazing for a documentary about a person like him. His life was pretty hectic and this footage captures Tupac throughout his journey. My friend, who doesn't really like him, started crying throughout it because she never realised he had come from the world he had come from but he never boohoo'd about it. He made things bearable for himself and even if you hate him and his music, you have to admire his strength.
