Who can put a price on human life--on memories, potential, effect on others? That place can, obviously.

Currently I'm worth $2.68, but maybe you gotta account for inflation.

What's the point in buying a person anyway? Feh.

[ooc: Yes, definitely liking the new icons ^^]

Whoa, you're worth more than I am! Figures.

Kinda funny: supposedly Inuzuka Kiba is worth $903,927.03 on his own, but Kiba and Akamaru together are worth only $840,252.10. Akamaru's worth that much on his own!

Quite a few people would, judging by the people around this neighborhood at night. Guess it's a living, but it's gotta make you wonder about the guys on the other end of it. Losers who gotta pay for what they can't get for free...

[OOC: Yay! ^_^]

Do you not have any nails, glue or a hammer at all?

Reply

chicksdigdogs January 21 2006, 20:13:16 UTC
I don't have any nails, 'cause I don't want Akamaru eating 'em by mistake. And Shikamaru may have a hammer but he's too lazy to look for it. We've got Elmers glue but I don't think that'd work.

I heard you could make a glue-paste with flour and water--y'know if that's true?

Yes it's true... but it's barely strong enough to hold paper to paper.

I don't have any glue, but I've got a toolbox somewhere, it's just remembering where.

Well I gotta hold wood to skis or something--I think if I wrapped rope around it or nailed 'em it it wouldn't work too well--so I'll think of something.

Maybe I should actually look up how to build a sled, 'stead of just trusting on memory...

Is that when your birthday is? *utterly loses at remembering dates* 'Cause I remember you said something about coming into your super powers...

No, Orihime's birthday is September.

Well. That's disappointing. I was hoping I'd be worth more.

Nobody seems willing to buy me anyway, and Akamaru depreciates me (hah! I do remember something from high school econ!) so we can be disappointed together.

You're the new lady downstairs, right? Welcome to The Dump the building! I'm Inuzuka Kiba, dogsled-builder extraordinaire.

Yes, I'm new here. I haven't had much chance to get out and meet everyone yet. I'm Ise Nanao. I've seen you sneaking your dog in and out a couple of times, but I promise I won't say anything.

Thanks awfully.

Such is the price of a brilliant mind...

Maybe sports really do pay off.

Maybe it's because the mind is never used.

That seems to be the way of things these days. When's your next game? I'll come watch.

Doesn't chess help with that?

Um, think it's next Saturday. Can't wait till we're playing outdoors again. It's just not the same on the turf...
