Oh, Canada!

Hello. Tonight is a good night once again for Canada. Yay! So many medals won as of late. On Sunday, it'll be even more intense with the hockey game: Canada vs. U.S.A. Thank goodness, I am working a day shift. Downtown will be in chaos and transit will be packed. I finally did get to see the festivities yesterday on my day off. ( Here are some pics: ) -

Dallas! Stars!
Tonight I went to the Stars/Toronto game. And it was unbelieveably awesome! Half the time I had no idea what was going on down there (I remain completely ignorant about the rules of Hockey), but that didn't matter at all. It was fast paced and action packed! One good fight, and a couple of almost fights. Plenty of rough body checks. Flying pucks. ( Read more... ) -

Last Sunday Patrick and I went to Dallas to watch the Pride Parade. It was so, so great. The weather was fantastic for mid September, and about 30,000 people showed up. We stood further down the road where it wasn't so crowded and Patrick's chances for getting beads were much higher. He approved.

I have a new home. It's a one bedroom and den. I bought the place two years ago before I went back to school. It is finally finished. I took possession last Saturday.( Check it out. ) -

Embarrassing moment of the day: Today, I tried to be sneaky and printed an e-book from work. I forgot to look which printer the computer I am using prints out of. I was hiding in a corner trying to print it out when it printed in the nursing station at our ward. :X -

Last night, the gang and I went to see Del Shores speak. He's so funny and thoughtprovoking and it was a very pleasant evening. He talked about his work on Sordid Lives (of course) and Southern Babtist Sissies (duh!) and he told funny celebrity stories about Rue McClanahan, Courtney Love and Dolly Parton.
