Much discussed recently, at least among the people that live in my head and/or hands:
- The Royal Tenenbaums, towards the end, when Chas says "it's been a rough year, dad", and how everyone gets all lumpy in their throat during that part because of ( Read more... )

richie's beard made me love beards too. in fact, last night at the sushi restaurant i was making eyes at a boy who had a big sloppy beard, and i couldn't tell if the girl he was with was his wife or twin sister.

my favorite movies list is constantly rotating, but RT is always, ALWAYS there. it is, i think, for all the humor and quirkiness, one of the best movies about depression ever. i always watch it when i'm sad, and it makes a painful little warm glow in my chest. i have a friend who can do a perfect luke wilson imitation and when he quotes from RT it makes me squirm and want to go watch that movie immediately. and, salinger, yes.

and hey, d'y'know, the guy who played dudley played harris on freaks and geeks? i just found that out recently.
