funny, i just finished that book on monday myself. i'm so glad mcsweeney's recommended it or i never would have thought to try it. yay for treasures like that---beautiful and what's more inspiring to the writer in me.

I can't believe more people aren't talking about Here They Come. It's such a wonderful book. I saw Murphy read at Brown University witha bunch of other McSweeney's authors, and that added a whol ne level to the beauty of the prose. I also heartily recommend Dustin Long's novel Icelander. He read at Brown, too, and I think his book is up there with Murphy's as of the best that McSweeney's has come out with (though it's very different from hers). It's so rare that a great book comes along, but McSweeney's just seems to pump them out. I'm so mad that I missed out on the discussion group offer for Here They Come. These books are so good, I need to find people to talk about them with.

i'm so on the swimming tip and i need partners. i found out about this watering hole i've never been to, Krause Springs, and it looks magical. i wanna go bad. have you been? also, sorry i haven't contacted you about Austin's Next Top Model shoot. I've had some work complications that were just ironed out on Sunday, so i should have my shit together this weekend. Get your "work it" face ready.

My favourite Bangs piece is the one on the Clash on tour, which is the most moving and idealistic tour reports I think I have ever read. I suggest you check it out.
I watched X2 with Logan for the first time a month ago, and now we're both totally ready for X3 to come out. It's gonna be in-tense!
