I usually do this around the Thanksgiving holiday (which is really kind of a eeird one I think but I do like saying 'thank you' to the world once in awhile), but since I am getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow I have a feeling I'm not gonna feel much like posting, so I'll do it today.

( A few things I am thankful for )

I guess the tiny movie of armadillos in my neighbors yard, set to the Magnetic Fields' "All You Ever Do Is Walk Away" part of Summer 101 didn't work before, which is a shame because it's very important.

It works now.

I've often speculated about what I would do with large sums of money without strings attached. One of the ideas I've had has to do with making "Summer 101" packets -- dozens of gift bags stuffed with the books, poems, albums, photographs, recipes, and movies that have helped me wake up every morning.
