there are times every year when i forget i have an online journal for about a month or more. im such a fag. but yeah uhhhh im home for the summer. just hanging out with beebs and friends a lot. keeping pretty busy. i decided to overcome my fear and hatred for children so im babysitting almost every weekday all day. 2 girls: 5 and 7. theyre really ( Read more... )

well, i typically babysat boys (Mr Q's little ones..), and I could keep Jason occupied for hours if i built a fort. he'd do everything in there, including nap. I would also recommend coloring (or another art activity), blowing bubbles, and if all else fails, pop in a movie... its scary how entrapped kids get into the tube.

maybe playing "house" or "dolls" or "dress-up" would keep them entertained... i remember i used to pretend to put on a play... usually cinderella... in a friends basement. yeah, i know, dork.

i know, right. the 7 year olds favorite bands are green day and 3 doors down. the heavier something is the more she loves it. i think im going to bring zao over. ill probably have to take you up on fluffy. seriously.

hahaha, 7yr old green day fan... makes me laugh...

and you're welcome about the ideas. also, whenever you bring over a toy that isn't theirs, kids can be fascinated for HOURS just simply over the fact that its something different. even if its a ball. just make sure you take it home with you, and bring it only occasional times when you return.. if it works well, chances are they'll start looking forward to you showing up and wonder if you're going to bring something. ;-) playdoh is fun!
