“Oww…” Watanuki mumbled into the pillow, ignoring the feel of calloused fingers running through his hair for the aching pain in his backside that was a certain archer’s fault.
“Stop complaining. It didn’t hurt.”
“It did hurt! You weren’t the one who--…!”
“Don’t yell,” Doumeki said, pulling back to cover his ears with his hands. “And it didn’t hurt.”
“Shut up! That was my first time, you heartless jerk!”
“That was my first time too,” was the indifferent reply, accompanied by an equally nonchalant shrug.
Watanuki turned his head to stare at him in surprise, gaping like a fish out of water. Doumeki, that no-good--…! He had seemed so skilled and confident while they were--…! How could one not assume he had done it before when he--…!
Of course, it had only been an assumption… But still! Why did he have to be so good at everything?!
“How could I not be confident?” he answered, the moment Watanuki found the ability to ask him.
Those golden eyes softened and it made everything else seem so insignificant.
As if they were the only two people in the world that truly mattered.
“I was showing you how I feel.”
