Oh goodness, your fan will be so excited! One of my favorite things about the fandom is meeting people from all walks of life from all over the globe, just because we share a common interest.,

Yes! I'm 64 years old and have lived all my life in the US. The reader is 20 and lives in Germany. And yet, it feels as if we look at the world so similarly that we might be sisters. It's one of the things that gives me hope for the world. In spite of all the division nowadays, we really CAN meet like-minded folks across the divisions of nationality or generation. We are all human.

Back when I was in the fandom for a computer game called The Witcher (the first one), circa 2008, I met wonderful people from Poland and Italy and Germany and Canada and Scotland. They all told me that I didn't SEEM like an American because I wasn't an asshole. *sigh* It's the assholes who make the news, but really, most of my countrymen are just like everybody else...

Exactly! And, I’m in the US with you and can say 100% am not an asshole. But in the Witcher fandom’s defense, we sure do seem to have a lot of them, and as you’ve noted, it is the bad seeds who act up and get noticed. While we cool kids sit here unobtrusively 😀
