Italian Trains, eh?

So I'm in Pisa now. Last you heard from me I think I was in Milan? Or maybe I mentioned I was in Genoa. Either way, I was in Genoa :D It was nice, very hilly (which I like), although everything had this horrid habit of closing from 12.30 until 3.30 for lunch. Genoa is my favourite non-touristy city in Italy. I like the mix of modern skyscrapers (reminded me of Melbourne) and the old centre of town around the main train station. And it's got a nice port.

Sucks about the trains. I think I was lucky when I was there and didn't have delays as long as that. I hope you're enjoying Pisa. I didn't spend much time there as I didn't think there was much to see.

I guess you'd be prepared already, but watch out in Rome for all the people who want to make money off you. Like the gladiators outside the Colluseum. And all the locals who get annoyed at all the tourists. It is worth it for all the fancy old buildings.

yeah i'm only spending the two nights in pisa, because frankly I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the tower, so once i've seen that anything else is just gravy

oh yeah, dudes don't get to pose with me then ask for money, no sir :P I'm ready for you, Rome

btw thanks for the restaurant tip in the last comment, but i'm on pretty tight budget - supermarket food all the way :(
