ACen Lolita Fashion show - call for models & designers!
We are looking for models and designers to participate in this year's indie designer Lolita fashion show at Anime Central on Friday May 17th. Please check under the cut for further details!
This year's independent designer Lolita fashion show has been approved, and is tentatively scheduled for 4pm on Friday. At this time we are putting out a call for designers and models who would be interested in participating!
Please note - you must be a registered attendee of ACen 2013 to participate in the show (i.e. you must have a badge) and you must be available from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday 5/17 (which includes the scheduled 4pm - 6pm time of the panel plus allowance for setup, getting dressed, etc. Again, this is based on the tentative panel schedule and is possibly subject to change.)
We are also happy to report that the show will be in a larger, fancier room this year than last year :)
Models:
Please provide us with your measurements (bust, waist, height, and shoe size), a headshot, and full body shot (a photograph of you wearing Lolita is okay). Also, please let us know whether or not you own a petticoat, and what color(s) of blouses and shoes you have that might be useful. Model applicants of all sizes are welcome at this time. Final selection of models to be used in the show will be done according to designers' needs/requests. (You need not be an expert Lolita or fits-into-typical-Japanese-brand-size to apply - we are able to supply some blouses/shoes/petticoats for the runway and may be able to accommodate more of a size range than a stereotypical "brand" show.)
Application deadline for models is Sunday 4/21/13!
Designers:
This is a juried show. We will be evaluating entries for quality and to ensure a unique and well-rounded final show showcasing several different styles. As such, submitting an application does not guarantee entrance into the show. We can't wait to see all of your designs!
Since this is a Lolita fashion show, we require that any designs shown be recognizably Lolita-related. Please provide us with images (or a link to images) of your work, a short description of what you make, and an idea of how many pieces you would ideally like to show.
Application deadline for designers is Monday 4/15/13! (Yes we realize that is very soon - and please know that you may have to be responsible for sourcing your own models depending on how many more apply.)
