I agree with you in that we should stay in control of the things that we create. I think that is the point of most of these sci-fi movies and books. It seems to warn that making something more powerful than us and giving it power over us makes us vulnerable. All the great sci-fi books and movies show a powerful machine go bad and that is probably why. Machines and computers are great resources when they are used properly and cautiously. But they should not be in control of our lives because our lives should be in our own hands.
