Theodore turned 3 on New Year's Day. On May 2nd we had to have Sinbad (7 1/2 year old chow/shar pei mutt) PTS. Ever sense Sinbad has been gone Theodore growls at everybody, human & animal. He doesn't snap or go after them, just growls. He doesn't even get up or anything. I thought maybe he just missed Sinbad & would go back to normal, but he ( Read more... )

Yeah, Theodork would bug the beejeesies out of Sinbad & Sinbad'd just let him. Theodore knew to back off though when Sinbad was done. Sinbad was the best dog ever (don't tell Theodork, though, he thinks he is the best dog ever). Sinbad would even let him win when the wrestled-----Sinbad was 70 pounds, Theodore is 7 1/2pounds. He could just still be missing him, I know I am.

Our chihuahua Buddy was never the same after his littermate Petey died suddenly when they were 2. That was over a decade ago. He just seemed sad ever since and got angry whenever we added another dog to the mix and took him a long time to accept the new dogs.
