Natsume Event ~Tsudoi Kiyoshi Kono Yoru Report
Went to the last, 6:30pm 12/24/2011 show and it was great! The venue was pretty hard to find and I hate asking for directions, but it was definitely necessary. This show will likely make it onto DVD since Kamiyan "won" but I'll give a long summary anyway.
***BTW: Suganuma = Suganuma Hisayoshi, Kimura = Kimura Ryohei, Kamiyan = Kamiya Hiroshi, Kazuma = Horie Kazuma, Heika = Inoue Kazuhiko
Finally got to Laforet Museum (such an awkward pronunciation and spelling in Japanese) an hour early at 5:30 and there were already about 100 people lining up in front. At 6:00pm, they opened the doors and let us in. Got two omikujis from the event limited gachas, nyanko sensei is just too cute! Luckily, I got the one I wanted the most :) Then went to drool at the Natsume crane prizes available in January that I will never win. Hardly any line for the goods table, a full list can be found on the Natsume blog, but I like buying more practical things so I just got the tote bag. Checked out the flowers in the lobby, and one wreath was from Midorikawa Yuki :)

Found our seats, not the best, but I was right at the side aisle where someone would hopefully pass. Snapped some shots of the stage before the warning announcement came on for me to put it away. At 6:30, a cute maneki nyanko sensei dressed in a santa hat and cape started talking about sake and food. Suganuma and Kimura came on stage introducing themselves and greeting. Then from the back, Kamiyan and Kazuma appeared and walked up the aisles! Kazuma was soooo close to me, but all the fans were surprisingly polite at the event and just waved madly so I followed suit. He waved back to everyone and made his way up the stage, Kamiyan was in the opposite aisle. Kamiyan introduced himself in a really cool, posing manner, looking gorgeous in a gray suit. Kazuma was awesome in a black suit and somehow got into the topic of curry -> yellow ranger. Then there was a knock from the door on stage and Heika came out!! He made a crack at the ranger joke too and introduced himself cooly, ending with a silly pose. Then the three sat down and a talk corner started.
Suganuma: So I heard Inoue-san and Horie went on a trip to Kumamto together!
Heika: It was work!! (He was so offended he stood up XD)
Kazuma: It was work de gozaru.
And they both started abusing gozaru speech until the video started playing. I was really looking forward to seeing it since I heard about it on Natsume radio! And of course, Heika was in his adorable Nyanko sensei cape, check his blog for pics! It's really pretty, and the place of Natsume Yuujinchou so it's very serene and natural~ Heika was so silly cute in the video, giving peace signs and playing around like a kid in his Nyanko cape XD After the video, Kazuma said he had a fever before and during filming so he tried really hard. Heika said Kazuma went to bed right after the filming the first day, so he and the other staff went to watch the stars! They sat on the concrete and tried to grab the stars in the sky~ He said there were also a lot of shooting stars.

The next corner was something like Xmas card talk where they pulled a random card off the christmas tree on the stage and talked about the subject. Kamiyan went first, then Heika, Suganuma and Kazuma (who they bullied so much in this) Don't remember everything but first topic was "How would Natsume spend christmas," Kamiyan said the Fujiwara couple would probably celebrate it and Touko-san would tell Shigeru to dress up as santa for Natsume XD Heika said they might all go to Tanuma's place since it's so big for a party. Kazuma said something ridiculous which I unfortunately forgot, and the rest of the cast had a -_- look saying, "have you watched the show before! Touko-san wouldn't say that!" Next was "What would you do if you had a Yuujinchou," Kazuma said he would write the cast's names in the book to make them obey him but they replied that he has to beat them and then they write their names giving a cold -_- look again orz Kamiyan said he would command Misuzu's seiyuu who went on a trip somewhere to come to the event. Next was "Scenes that left the deepest impression," Suganuma said there was an episode that made him cry 4 times, when reading the manga, the script, the recording and watching the finished ep.. that was the tsuyugami ep (which is soooo sad). Kimura said that the Firefly and Sparrow episodes were also heart-wrenching. Kamiyan added that that arc was the scene on the first drama cd where he played Natsume so it's quite close to him too. Heika revealed that in that cd, the director told him to just play Nyanko sensei with his normal voice which made him go "eh?" a lot (I really want to hear that furoku! Though I love his current sensei voice..) Kamiyan said the scene that moved him most was the last episode of the fourth season which we should look forward to. He added that it was, in his opinion, the epitome of their work and they wouldn't be able to do ever do their character better than that. (I really want to see it now!) Last was "Funny things during (after) recording" which they talked about while Kazuma pulled the card where someone needed to put on the Nyanko sensei cape for the rest of the corner. He was really excited and was about to start jan-ken-pon (rock, paper, scissors) facing the audience XD Kamiyan kept being a tsukkomi, but Heika commented that he got tired of correcting Kazuma and was just staying on the couch watching now. So they played and Kamiyan and Heika "won" so they were going to face each other, but Heika commented that he's already worn the cape before... so Kamiyan relunctantly goes off stage to put it on *insert deafening fan squeals* They call him to come out, and he looked so cute! But he tries to change the subject really cooly, denying the cuteness of the cape >///< Everyone agrees that Heika's ad-lib made them laugh so many times, that he would sing Tendon Blues during the practise run and then during the real thing, he would change it to a new tune, Gyuudon Blues. Heika said nobody's made him laugh during recording >_< Then the corner ends and Kamiyan runs off stage to throw off the cape :(
We hear a phone ring, and Heika says it's his and he has to take it, so he disappears backstage. Kamiyan comes back and says Heika might not come back since he was having a really serious conversation. It's time for Onegai Santa Nyanko-sensei! Fans entered their wishes through twitter and a lucky few get read out and sensei makes them come true. First topic was "Please make nyanko-sensei and madara switch voices," they were really confused about this, and gave Heika some time to think while Suganuma and Kimura "switched" voices for their characters. Kamiya joked that no one would even realize. Suganuma kept going, "Oi, oi Natsume!!" Then Kazuma and Kamiyan "switched."
Kamiyan: "You're still a glutton as always, Ponta" on repeat
Kazuma: "Hey, give me back my ikayaki, Nyanko-sensei! Koraaa"
Kamiyan: "Who are you? Have you really been watching this show!?" cast agrees
Then they ask if Heika is ready, and he "transforms." He said some very cool lines in Nyanko-sensei voice and the reverse was even funnier... imagine these lines in deep Madara voice: "Oi, Nachume. ♪Ta~da~i~ma~♪~" (the sing-songy style that Nyanko-sensei always does when he gets back XD)
Second topic "Please have Natsume tsukkomi something Nyanko-sensei does,"
They all can't think of anything not done before like they've done ikayaki and food a lot so Kazuma comes up with a "brilliant idea"
Kazuma says seriously: "What if Natsume sees Madara performing in the town circus!"
Rest of the cast: -_- eh????
Then Heika says he's ready and he ends up doing Madara at the circus and then transforming into Nyanko sensei when he sees an ikayaki and chasing after it. Instead of doing a tsukkomi, Kamiyan just goes along with it XD
Last is "Please sing Christmas Blues" Can't really describe the song, but it starts with "♪hoshi ga~ kirakira~♪" and then he unexpectedly ends with "Tendon no Buruuzu~♪" The cast comments that Nyanko sensei has probably never heard the blues genre before XD
Finally, it was the present corner. They raffled 10 signed postcards, and 5 deluxe bags of goodies along with a scarf from each seiyuu. Heika and Kazuma also gifted something else in the spirit of giving. Kamiyan and Heika were so cool when they gave their scarves to the winner who went up on stage >_< A person 4 seats away from me won and one row behind me won, so lucky!
Then they said their good-byes. Kamiyan told of the time when Kazuma was stiffly asking him if it was okay for him to send him mail. He replied normally that it was okay. He said that Kazuma excitedly told him that he would send him a mail that night! After, they bowed and left the stage. I was sad and getting ready to leave when...
"Yaa~ Merry Christmas" !!! OMG that's-that's.. Ishida Akira!!!
"Even though I can't be there with you, my voice is still sparkling~" And I don't really remember what else he said because I was too wrapped up in his awesomeness. After it ended, we got a card at the exit as Natori-san told us in his message :)
