[By all rights, Albert should be resting or doing other sorts of work. Runes know that there's still a lot to do, with the last experiment delaying decisions on what to do with the tunnels, desert, and ruins. [Albert almost looks relaxed as he grooms the horse with a stiff brush. Brushing the horse was one of the few things he had taken to as far as horses went -- brushing, feeding, and riding the horse. Cleaning the hooves, inspecting the teeth, and all of those other details... He had never cared for them, and left that work to others every chance he got.

He doesn't hear the crunching of the snow as Raine leaves the house; he's completely invested in his work.]
