∞ 58: While the stars fall [action]

[After the shooting stars the other day, Albert has taken it upon himself to observe the sight from a much better vantage point than his house. To do so, he's gone up onto the roof of the school to look out in the direction of the mountains.

Anyone who's had the same idea can come on up and bother him.]

[There is a man on the school roof. Naturally, this catches Gelda's interest. Good thing the meteors are providing a bit of additional light. After a few seconds of squinting and tilting her head, she manages to identify this thrill seeker. How in the world did he get up there?]

[How did he get up there indeed? There may have been some furniture stacking against the side of the building involved. Parkour traceur he is not.

There's the sound of something shifting before a small lantern appear. It doesn't offer much more light than what the stars are currently offering, but better safe than sorry. He has a better view of the woman from his perch.]

[The owners of that furniture might not be pleased. Unless, of course, it belongs to Albert himself. Then it's all good. Gelda looks up him, still smiling.]

Enjoying the sight of falling stars?

[Shhh. Said furniture owners might hear you. It may be difficult to see with the darkness and distance between them, but he nods.]

It's certainly a different sight in Luceti. I would rather not think it ominous, but I have never seen falling stars here.

[After finally putting Genis to bed (and making sure he's asleep), Raine is finally heading out this way to join Albert, since that was the original plan. She stops her walk at the furniture pile, looking up.]

I suppose that's one way to go about it.

[Albert can hear the movements in the dark, and overlooking the town square has its benefits. He turns from the direction of the mountains to look over the edge.]

The furniture?

Yes, the furniture. I'm surprised it was stable enough...

[a dry joke] You're hardly a heavy person, Professor. The furniture can withstand your weight.

[Usagi rarely ever comes near the school, even if she goes out shopping. She purposely avoids it like the plague, but when she sees someone on the roof, she figures she might as well investigate.]

O-Oi! Roof-person!

[Well, that's a fairly familiar voice. Albert turns to face the square. He can't quite see her maybe because she's so short pfft.]

Usagi?

[Usagi moves backwards so she can see his face and laughs.]

Albert! Hi! [She jumps and waves excitedly.] Enjoying the view?

[chikaidestroyer]

[He blinks as he sees that familiar hairdo, waving back slightly.]

It's not something you see every day. You aren't with your friends?

[Regal has a similar idea and is out watching the shooting stars as well, though he's doing it from the ground rather than from the rooftop.

... oh hey, is that Albert up there?]

[Albert has a small spyglass in hand as he looks out over the mountains. It's not really meant for stargazing, but ... no one in the village has ever found an actual telescope or properly built one. Only recently had heard mention of building a telescope at all.]
