I do not know; it isn't a term I am familiar with. But it certainly seems to be referring to whatever is going on out here.

You've been around to see a lot of these-- does this look like another experiment to you?

It does. In some ways, it resembles the experiment people have associated with "Valentine's Day." It was perhaps a foolish thought to associate the experiment solely to a holiday -- much like "Halloween" and "Christmas."
