I can keep an eye on a watch station or two again this cycle. I haven't been in the village much lately anyway.

Thanks for passing on the word. I've mentioned restocking and maintaining the watch stations as a priority, so I'll send any volunteers your way that have an interest in doing so.

I would suggest that it could still be opened in time, but it wouldn't be the same without its owner and main hostess.

That could be arranged. [A thoughtful pause.] It may not be a bad idea to find insect repellant and leave some in each of the stations as well.

For this weather? No, it wouldn't - that's a good idea. I'll be sure to bring some out with me, if there's any in the shops.

Thank you. I would suggest bug-netting as well, but I presume the door needs to be kept shut so animals do not wander in and out.
