So, I went to the gun show on Saturday and I got to handle every gun I've been reading about. I know you shouldn't always go by how a gun feels but how it shoots, but feel is a good starting point. having said that, heres my NEW updated (hand)gun wish list in order

That's cool that you like the P226. When I first handled it, I was like "OMG, it's like it was made for my hand". It feels so right. :-)

I like the Beretta 92 also. Incidentally, both of those were the 2 finalists for the M9 pistol contract.

How did you come to like the Springfield 1911 milspec? There are so many 1911's that it's difficult for me to choose one.

Yeah, I really liked the P226 and the P229 but I like the full size of the P226 better. Yeah, i did read about the M9 contract before. as far as the Springfield, it was mostly a matter of price. I handled a lot of them, everything from Rock islands to springfields to taurus to Kimbers, they all felt the same. Sure the quality and accuracy of kimber is probably better than the springy ( beavertail, alum trigger, etc...) but for around $500 the Springfield is a good deal. I do still love glocks but I would like to have a little of everything. hehe. I also really liked the way the ruger revolvers felt. they look beautiful and felt nice in my hands. If I was to get a wheel gun, it'd be a Ruger.
