16th Revolution: How do you continue when the revolution ends early?

It was a little bit past midnight. Huey stood on top of the roof for Apartment Building #1 looking out at the slumbering City. There was a lot on the youth’s mind and he couldn’t help but go and get some fresh air. A light yawn escaped his mouth and he started to scratch his neck when he heard the door to the rooftop open up.
There was many things he was prepared to witness within the city…a silver skinned humanoid standing in front of him growling was not one of them. His instincts screamed to him that the time had come to either fight or flee. Looking at how the monster had decided to position itself in front of the door he knew that he had to put up a good amount of resistance. Bouncing back and forth on his feet Huey kept his eyes focused on the monster in front of him. The beast lurched forward and rushed the boy with the intent to bowl him over. Reacting quickly, Huey leapt out of the way of the creature and bolted past it towards the door. As soon as he was within a few feet within the door he felt a heavy hand clamp down on his shoulder before he was spun around and knocked backwards with a harsh punch.
Huey staggered a bit as blood spilled from his mouth. He stomped his foot against the ground in order to stop himself and to somewhat regain his balance from the dizzying blow. His brow furrowed in anger as he balled up his fists and went on the attack. The humanoid took the first few blows without even flinching before he reached out and grabbed hold of the boy’s shirt. Not wanting to have another repeat of the punch he received, Huey twisted himself out of his attacker’s grasp, his shirt ripping in the process.
Visibly aggravated that the boy escaped the massive creature charged forward swinging its arms in reckless abandon in order to strike Huey down. Putting years of practice to work, Huey avoided the strikes using the minimal amount of movement until he saw an opening. Ducking forward the boy then leapt up to kick to the jaw of the creature but failed due to it vanishing from his field of view. He blinked wildly before he felt his shoulder impaled on something followed by a burning sensation coursing through out the wound. As soon as his attempted to look for the source he couldn’t find anything.
The creature appeared out of nowhere to his left and backhanded him harshly across his face sending him skidding across the roof and stopping at the edge. Shakily he picked himself up and coughed when he noticed that his breathing started to become shallow and his vision blurry. At that moment he knew that when he was stabbed in his shoulder he was injected with poison and that he had no chance of survival. Knowing its target could do nothing, it charged towards the boy and sent him flying off the roof with a vicious backhand.
While he fell from the roof images from his life in his world and the city blurred together in his mind’s eye until they all merged together to form a single final one. The last image caused the boy to cry harder as the poison continued to wreck havoc on his body.
“I’m an idiot…” whispered the child before the venom shut down every major organ in his body.
A few seconds later his body hit the bottom hard, his limbs contorting into varying unnatural positions. His lifeless eyes stared up at the roof he was knocked off from where the murderer looked down and let out a roar of triumph before vanishing into the night.

[Accidental Video - The camera of the device is flecked with a dark substance which is giving a ruby hue to things viewed through it slightly. The camera is focused on the lifeless body of Huey as blood slowly pools around him. The device continues to record the macabre scene for a few seconds before it is shut off by an outside source.]
